This young lady is a vision of loveliness in her Vogue design made up in a pale yellow cotton. The front of the self-lined bodice is pleated into a neckband and the pleats are mirrored in the front of the flared skirt. Deep side seam pockets, a lapped zipper and narrow rolled hem complete the design details.

Back for another week of sewing, this time a large lined bag with an adjustable strap and a top band accented with some cool trim!

A Simplicity Project Runway design with straps and double sleeve flounces is constructed in a cotton floral print. Extra time at the end of camp allowed some fabric flower pins to be created!

This Vogue knit dress made out of blue cotton interlock became an extra lesson in how to rip out an overlock stitch and alter a garment. Thinking she had finished early this young lady tried on her dress and found it to be huge across the waist and hips so I pinned and she ripped and re-sewed for a perfect fit!

A Kwik Sew pants pattern was this young lady's primary project. When she finished early she brought in Diana Rupp's Sew Everything Workshop, a Christmas gift from her grandmother, and sewed a striped elephant as a gift for her cousin.

Ooh! Sizzle! A Simplicity pattern, this dress has a six gore skirt with contrasting hem band, an empire waist with a cummerbund that turns into ties, a lapped zipper and orange bodice trim and straps.
