AND SEW ON - AUGUST SESSION

On the last day young sewers model their creations

Once again contrasting bands prevailed! This is a different pattern than was used in the July Sewing 101 camp; the midriff band had a straight edge rather than curved one, the neckband was faced and then sewn to the bodice which eliminated handwork. Yeah! (Notice the coordinating drawstring pouches flung over their shoulders in the last picture.)
"She looks like a little old lady who can barely see above the steering wheel!" my helper exclaimed.
She wanted to make"something in pinks or blues".
This dress is made from Amy Butler fabrics. This wild woman can't believe she has made it!
A broken arm didn't hold this young lady back!
Even the best seamstress has to use her seam ripper.
The lime green cotton contasts nicely with this fun dot
From the moment she saw them this young seamstress knew these plaids were the fabrics for her!
